MARTÍN

RODRIGUEZ

ADVISOR

Martin is an Advisor with Ramirez Advisors Inter-National, LLC (RAI-N). Ramirez Advisors is a highly specialized firm dedicated to creating and implementing innovative solutions for cross-border business opportunities and improving the ability for goods and people to cross the border. Currently at RAI-N, his responsibilities include, but are not limited to, research on Mexican politics, economics, and other international policy issues; monitoring and translating technical documents and industry-relevant news articles for clients; coordinating meetings for local, state, and federal stakeholders on port of entry issues and border infrastructure; ensuring the proper flow of information with the Arizona Congressional Delegation, as well as providing support on multiple client engagements as needed by the President of the Firm.

Previously, he was an intern for the Office of the President at the Inter-American Dialogue, a Washington, D.C.-based think tank focused on policy issues in Latin America. Martin provided research briefs for the organization’s president which covered issues relating to the rule of law and other political developments in the region, such as the 2018 presidential elections in Mexico and Costa Rica, or the constitutional crises involving the anti-corruption institutions in Guatemala and Honduras. This information not only kept the president regularly informed but assisted him in preparing remarks for speaking engagements in US and international settings. Martin’s experience in Washington encouraged him to later seek opportunities that were focused on the US-Mexico relationship at the state and local level, which led him to intern at the Arizona-Mexico Commission and later join the team at RAI-N.

Martin graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University. In that time, he completed extensive coursework in comparative politics, Latin American studies, and economics. He is a native Phoenician, having attended elementary school in West Phoenix and Brophy College Preparatory. He is fluent in Spanish
